Candles by Sarah Louise was created in honor of a great-grandmother, Sarah Louise, a woman defined by strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit of love and compassion. A creator at heart, she was known for sewing and making her own clothes, as well as crafting garments for those around her. With limited resources but limitless care, she created beauty, comfort, and dignity through her hands.

Those early experiences left a lasting impression and inspired a tradition of creating with intention. The journey began with just eight bottles of handcrafted body butter, followed by soaps, all inspired by the same tradition of creating with intention and care. As creativity evolved, it naturally led to candle making, another way to bring warmth and meaning into everyday spaces. What started as small mason jar candles sold at local farmers markets soon grew into a passion for experimenting with unique vessels, including larger statement pieces in a variety of shapes, colors, and textures.
